Bronchoscopy Treatment

Bronchoscopy is of two types: Rigid and flexible bronchoscopy. Flexible bronchoscopy: It is more prominent as compared to the other one and is done under local anaesthesia, but general anaesthesia can be given if required. A lighted, flexible, thin long tube is inserted into the airways to diagnose. Rigid bronchoscopy: A straight hollow long metal tube is inserted into the narrow airways under general anaesthesia. This method is useful in lung bleeding, removing sample tissues for biopsy, or removing blockages from the pipe.
